In modern warfare, drones have become a major threat on the battlefield. However, electronic warfare systems are not always able to stop a drone operating in radio silence mode or on non-standard frequencies. The Setokomet Ptashka (Bird) counter-UAV system for FPV drones is the ultimate solution for kinetic interception of aerial targets. Instead of simply jamming the signal, Ptashka physically blocks the propellers of an enemy drone, ensuring its downing and preserving valuable intelligence for your unit.
Physical interception - Guaranteed neutralization of enemy "eyes"
Unlike anti-drone guns, which only make the drone hover or return home, the "Bird Net Launcher" operates on the principle of direct mechanical action. This ensures a 100% predictable result: the enemy Mavic, Autel, or other copter loses the ability to fly due to instant entanglement in a super-strong net.
- "Propeller Lock" effect: The net deploys in the air and instantly stops the target's engines.
- Trophy value: The neutralized aircraft falls to the ground intact. This allows access to memory cards, study flight logs, and technical features of enemy equipment.
- Complete "invisibility" for SIGINT: The system operates mechanically, without emitting active signals. This allows your FPV hunter to remain undetected by enemy electronic reconnaissance equipment.
Technical specifications and combat capabilities
The "Ptashka" complex Specially designed for installation on FPV platforms, maintaining their speed and maneuverability while pursuing a target.
| Parameter | Characteristic value |

Why the "System + 5 cartridges" kit - The choice of professionals?
For the effective operation of the anti-drone defense unit, the ammunition supply is critical. The presence of 5 replaceable cartridges in the set allows you to:
- Conduct training: The first launches will help the pilot get a feel for the distance and time of deployment of the net in the air.
- Repel group attacks: You will be able to neutralize several targets in one sortie, quickly replacing used modules.
- Standardize equipment: Cartridges are interchangeable with the "Ptashka" infantry net launchers, which significantly simplifies the logistics of the unit.
Tactics of use: How the FPV Hunter works
Using the "Ptashka" on an FPV drone gives the pilot an advantage in mobility. The algorithm of actions is extremely simple:
- Detection: The operator receives data on the enemy Mavic or Autel.
- Approach: Thanks to the FPV speed, the interceptor comes into attack range (optimally - above or behind the target).
- Launch: At a distance of 15-30 meters, a shot is fired. The net instantly opens, creating a "trap" of several square meters.
- Result: The enemy drone falls, entangled in a net, which often works like a parachute, softening the fall to preserve the trophy.
Expert opinion: A striking range of up to 45 meters allows the pilot to stay at a safe distance from the target, protecting your own drone from an accidental collision while neutralizing the enemy.
Conclusion
The Ptashka Net Launcher system for FPV is an investment in the safety of your unit and an opportunity to obtain valuable captured technologies. The combination of the mobility of an FPV drone and the reliability of physical interception makes this system the best choice in its class.
Frequently Asked Questions about the Ptashka Interception System for FPV
What is the best distance in the air to make a shot?
The ideal distance is from 4 to 7 meters. If you shoot closer, the net may not have time to open. If you shoot further away, It loses speed and can shift under the influence of airflow from the drone's propellers.
How is the descent configured on the remote control?
The system is connected to the PWM output of the flight controller. In the configurator (Betaflight/iNav), you assign this resource to a free Aux channel. The shot is activated by a toggle switch on the remote control.
Does the weight of the system affect FPV flight characteristics?
The system weighs about 150-200 grams. For a 7- or 10-inch drone, this is not critical. Maneuverability is maintained, and flight time is reduced by only 10-15%.
Is there any recoil when firing in the air?
There is a slight impulse recoil. The gyroscopes and PID controllers instantly compensate for the jolt, so the drone remains stable in flight.
What happens to the reticle after firing?
The reticle falls along with the target or to the ground. It is impossible to put it back into the cartridge in the field, so the cartridge is considered a disposable consumable.
Can the system be used against FPV kamikazes?
Yes, but this requires a high level of piloting skill due to the target's speed. The net effectively blocks any open propellers, completely neutralizing the threat.
