In modern warfare, air superiority is determined not only by the number of reconnaissance drones, but also by the effectiveness of their suppression systems. The Ptashka Net-Commander for FPV drones is a specialized kinetic interception system designed to physically neutralize or capture enemy copters. This kit, including the system and 20 replaceable cartridges, is the optimal solution for units that require an impressive ammunition supply for intensive work and interceptor pilot training.
Kinetic Interception: Why the Ptashka more effective than electronic warfare systems
Unlike electronic warfare systems, which may be useless against drones on non-standard frequencies or systems with a fully autonomous function (flight along a GPS route), the net launcher operates physically. This ensures the neutralization of the target, regardless of its software protection or resistance to jamming.
- Full neutralization: The network instantly locks the propellers, depriving the drone of any opportunity to continue flying.
- Preservation of trophies: Physical interception often allows an enemy UAV (for example, a Mavic 3 or Autel) to land virtually undamaged for subsequent extraction of intelligence and flight logs.
- Cost-effectiveness: The cost of one cartridge is incomparable with the cost of an enemy reconnaissance drone or the damage it can cause.
- Resistance to "friendly EW": The system operates autonomously and does not conflict with its own electronic countermeasures.
Technical characteristics (TTX) of the system “Birdy” on FPV
The design is developed taking into account the aerodynamics of FPV carriers, which allows the pilot to maintain high maneuverability even under full combat load.
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Carrier type | FPV drones 7", 8",10" inches |
| Activation method | Electronic launch via flight controller (AUX channel) |
| Effective launch distance | 2 – 6 meters |
| Network deployment area | Up to 9 sq. meters (depending on cartridge type) |
| System weight (without cartridge) | ~400 g |
| Net material | Heavy-duty light-stabilized nylon / Kevlar thread |
| Number of cartridges in the set | 20 pcs. |
| Temperature conditions | -15°C … +45°C |
Design and Combat Features
The "Bird" system integrates into the standard FPV ecosystem. The network launch is assigned to a separate toggle switch on the control panel. Due to its low weight and low profile, the system does not critically affect flight time, allowing for long-term patrols of a given sector.
- Modular Replacement: Cartridges are designed for quick replacement in the field - The drone reloads in no more than 20-30 seconds.
- Reliability of operation: The initiation system is protected from accidental activation during strong vibrations or abrupt maneuvers at high speeds.
- Training supply: The presence of 20 cartridges allows you to allocate part of the ammunition for pilot training, which is critical for the successful interception of dynamic targets.
Expert opinion: The Ptashka net launcher on the FPV platform is a symmetrical response to the mass use of small reconnaissance drones by the enemy. A set of 20 cartridges makes your unit completely autonomous and ready for intense air duels.
