In modern drone warfare, darkness is no longer an enemy's defense. The BattleBorn Baby 8" FPV Kamikaze Drone, equipped with a thermal imaging camera, is a high-tech solution for carrying out strike missions at any time of day. Thanks to the enlarged 8-inch frame, the drone has increased stability in the air and is capable of carrying a powerful munition at a distance of up to 15 km, remaining invisible to enemy visual observation.
The use of components from leading global manufacturers (SpeedyBee, iFlight) and BattleBorn's own developments makes this drone a reliable tool in the hands of professional aerial reconnaissance and special operations forces pilots.
Technological advantage: Thermal vision and resistance to electronic warfare
The main feature of this model is the integrated thermal imaging module, which allows the operator to detect camouflaged equipment and personnel by thermal contrast. In addition to optics, "Malysh" offers unique capabilities for operating in difficult electronic warfare conditions:
- Thermal imager (256x192): Refresh rate of 25 Hz and viewing angle of 56°; provide the smooth picture needed for precise targeting during the final dive.
- Multi-frequency control: Support for ELRS Diversity on 750 MHz and 915 MHz (or custom frequencies) allows you to bypass standard "dome" Electronic warfare systems.
- 2.5W Video Transmitter: The ultra-powerful iFlight Blitz VTX with active cooling guarantees a clear signal even in the presence of significant interference on the front line.
- 4.9 GHz Video Range: The ability to switch to a non-standard video communication frequency makes the drone less vulnerable to anti-drone guns.
Technical and tactical characteristics (TTX) of the BattleBorn Baby
The drone is built on a reinforced frame and equipped with high-torque motors, which allows it to confidently operate with a payload of up to 1.5 kg.

Combat effectiveness
BattleBorn "Little One" with a thermal imager is optimized for specific tasks where conventional kamikazes are powerless:
- Night hunting: Detection of "hot" targets (vehicle engines, dugouts with heating) in complete darkness.
- Breakthrough of defenses: Thanks to ELRS Diversity 750 MHz, the drone maintains communication in lowlands and behind terrain obstacles.
- High maneuverability: HQProp 8x4x3 propellers made of reinforced Nylon batteries provide instant response to stick movements even when the ammunition is fully loaded.
- Power Reliability: Molicel P42A elements in 6s2p batteries prevent sudden voltage drops during rapid acceleration.
Tactical Tip: For a maximum range of 15 km, we recommend using external antennas and a repeater. When operating in active electronic warfare environments, switch to the 4.9 GHz video channel to minimize the impact of enemy interference.
Why are units choosing the BattleBorn Baby 8?
Unlike standard 7-inch drones, the 8-inch platform has a larger propeller area, which provides a significant advantage in thrust and stability in windy conditions. The Baby is a balanced system, where every gram of weight contributes to the result. Active cooling of the video transmitter allows the drone to remain in standby mode for a long time at launch without the risk of electronics overheating.
- Reinforced construction: Nylon propellers are resistant to small branches and debris.
- Optics flexibility: In addition to the thermal imager, it can be equipped with Runcam Night Eagle 3 cameras for ultra-low-light conditions.
- Custom frequencies: The ability to adapt to the specific needs of the unit for maximum stealth.
Conclusion: Your technological advantage in the sky
FPV kamikaze drone 8” BattleBorn Baby with thermal imager is an uncompromising tool for the destruction of priority targets at night. The combination of a powerful 2.5W VTX, thermal optics, and long-range ELRS Diversity communications makes it one of the most effective kamikaze drones in its class. Every sortie of the "Malysh" is a step towards superiority on the battlefield.
Tactical FAQ: 8" BattleBorn "Malyuk" FPV Kamikaze Drone with Thermal Imaging
What is the main advantage of the thermal imaging version of the "Malyuk"?
Unlike a conventional night camera, a thermal imager allows you to see not reflected light, but the thermal radiation of objects themselves. This makes it possible to detect camouflaged vehicles with hot engines, manpower in greenery, and other objects. or recently fired cartridges, even in complete darkness or smoke.
What are the characteristics of the thermal imaging sensor installed on the drone?
Typically, a sensor with a resolution of 640x512 or 256x192 (depending on the modification) with a refresh rate of 25-50 Hz is used. This provides a smooth image necessary for precise targeting at speeds over 100 km/h.
How does a thermal imager affect kamikaze tactics?
The thermal imaging "Malyuk" becomes an ideal tool for night hunting. You can ignore light traps or enemy searchlights, focusing only on heat signatures. This allows you to hit targets at the moments of their highest activity - during night rotations or the delivery of ammunition.
What is the warhead weight that this 8-inch side can carry?
Thanks to the powerful 2807/2810 engines and 8-inch propellers, the drone confidently carries a load weighing 1.5 - 2.0 kg. This could be either a shaped charge for armor or a high-explosive fragmentation charge to defeat manpower in dugouts, which you can easily find by the heat output of the ventilation.
What is the operating range of the thermal imaging video stream?
When using your RadioMaster Boxer (1W) remote control and SHEPIT repeater, the range is 12-15 km. Since the analog thermal imaging signal is more sensitive to interference, using a repeater on a high mast is mandatory to maintain the clarity of the "heat map".
Which batteries will provide the best results for a night mission?
Your 6S3P 15,000 mAh assemblies are optimal. They provide enough energy for 15-20 minutes of flight, which allows for a calm reconnaissance of the target in the thermal imaging spectrum before the final dive.
