Product Description
Vydun Drone Detector
Vydun Drone Detector is a high-tech device designed to detect unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The device simultaneously scans and intercepts video signals, allowing early detection of aerial threats within a 360° sector at a distance of up to 4,000 meters.
Unlike standard solutions operating in frequency ranges of approximately 1–1.8 GHz / 2.8–4.0 GHz / 4.8–6.0 GHz, Vydun operates across wider frequency ranges than most detectors on the market, namely: 0.9–2.2 GHz / 2.2–4.0 GHz / 4.8–6.1 GHz. Particularly in the 3.3 GHz range, Vydun detects up to 90% more signals than most comparable devices on the market. The scanning speed ranges from 3 to 20 seconds, depending on the level of radio-frequency interference.
For user convenience, the device is equipped with two displays: the large screen transmits video from the drone camera in real time, while the small screen displays service information. If no video signal is detected, the large screen automatically turns off to conserve battery power.
Vydun supports image output to external monitors or PCs via a USB-to-AV connector. Thanks to the built-in 10,000 mAh (7.4 V) battery, the device provides 5–7 hours of continuous operation, even in field conditions.
The detector is equipped with an active cooling system that maintains a stable temperature of the internal components during prolonged operation and high loads. This improves the device's reliability and ensures stable performance.
The durable PETG plastic housing with IP54 protection reliably protects the electronics from dust and moisture. The device weighs only 0.8 kg, while its compact dimensions of 17 × 14 × 4.5 cm make it convenient to transport. Please refer to the detailed user manual for additional information.
Main Advantages
Wide Frequency Range
The device simultaneously scans video signals across frequency ranges of 910–2200 MHz, 2200–4040 MHz, and 4867–6100 MHz, providing a wide detection spectrum for unmanned systems' control and video transmission signals.
Wireless Software Updates
Supports firmware updates via the Internet using a Wi-Fi access point (SSID).
Long Battery Life
Equipped with a 10,000 mAh battery, providing 5 to 7 hours of operation on a single charge.
Charging
Can be charged from a 220 V power supply, a 12–24 V car cigarette lighter socket, or a power bank. Charging from a power bank requires a USB-to-DC 12 V cable, which is not included and must be purchased separately.
Two Functional Displays
The large display is used to show the intercepted video signal, while the small display provides service information, settings, and system status.
Operating Range up to 4,000 m
Provides detection and identification of video signals at distances of up to 4 km, depending on terrain, the level of radio interference, and the transmitter power of the unmanned aerial vehicle.
LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Civilian Frequency Filtering
Filters out common signals and responds only to actual drones and potential threats.
Active Cooling
The built-in active cooling system maintains the optimal operating temperature of the device during prolonged scanning and operation in hot conditions. This improves the stability of the electronic components.
