In today's electronic warfare, adversaries are constantly looking for "frequency holes" by shifting FPV drone control to higher bands. Collinear Spring Antenna 940-1050 MHz is a professional solution for electronic warfare and communications systems, providing stable signal amplification in the critical spectrum. Thanks to its unique design and high technical performance, this antenna is an ideal choice for installation on vehicles, armored vehicles, and mobile electronic warfare teams.
Why is the 940-1050 MHz band critical today?
Most standard electronic warfare systems operate in the 800-900 MHz band. Understanding this, adversaries are increasingly using kamikaze drones on the 940-1050 MHz frequencies. Using a professional collinear antenna in this spectrum allows you to:
- Close the "blind window": Create interference where conventional antennas lose efficiency.
- Maximum gain (6±1 dBi): Narrow vertical radiation pattern (17°) concentrates energy along the horizon, which significantly increases the range of suppression of enemy UAVs.
- Omnidirectional dome (360°): The antenna creates a uniform protective field around the vehicle, leaving no vulnerable zones for attack.
Design advantages: Spring base and survivability
Unlike standard rigid emitters, this model is designed specifically for dynamic operation in rough terrain.
1. Mechanical Durability (Spring Mount)
A powerful steel spring at the antenna's base acts as a shock absorber. When colliding with tree branches, camouflage nets, or other obstacles while moving at high speed, the antenna simply deflects and instantly returns to its operating position. This is critical for maintaining the integrity of the RF connector and the electronic warfare module itself.
2. Vibration Resistance
The design is designed to withstand the constant vibration typical of pickups, trucks, and armored vehicles (APC/IFV) operating in the frontline zone.
Technical and Tactical Characteristics (TTC)
The antenna parameters are optimized to ensure low SWR and maximum throughput.
| Parameter | Characteristic value |
|---|---|
| Operating frequency range | 940 - 1050 MHz |
| Gain | 6 ± 1 dBi |
| SWR | ≤ 2.0 |
| Polarization | Vertical |
| Horizontal beamwidth | 360º (Omnidirectional) |
| Vertical Beamwidth | 17 ±3º (focused along the horizon) |
| Input Impedance | 50 Ohms |
| Maximum Power | 70 Watts (Peak) / 50 Watts (Stable) |
| Connector Type | N-Male (Plug) |
Tactical Applications in Combat Zones:
- Vehicle Electronic Warfare “Dome”: Creation of a protective zone with a radius of up to 1000 meters (depending on the amplifier power) from FPV drones in the 1 GHz range.
- Repeaters and communication nodes: Ensuring stable transmission of digital data at the tactical level.
- Protection of evacuation groups: Reliable cover of medical and logistics transport from pinpoint kamikaze strikes.
Expert advice: When installing the antenna on the roof of a car, try to mount it as high as possible and away from other metal masts to avoid distortion of the radiation pattern and keep the SWR indicator within the normal range.
Conclusion: Reliability that saves lives
Collinear antenna on a spring 940-1050 MHz — It's an investment in your unit's survivability. Its combination of high power (70 W), excellent amplification, and mechanical durability makes it an indispensable component of modern electronic warfare systems.
Tactical FAQ: Six Questions About the Collinear Antenna (1 GHz Spectrum)
Why is a 940-1050 MHz antenna needed if 915 MHz is the standard?
When standard 900 MHz electronic warfare systems became widespread, the enemy began shifting their transmitter frequencies "up" to 1000-1050 MHz. This antenna is your "high shield". It closes the corridor where the drone used to feel safe.
What is the advantage of a collinear design?
It "compresses" signal vertically and extends it along the horizon. This creates a powerful electronic "donut" around your car. The suppression range increases, giving more time to react while the drone is still far away.
Why is the spring at the base critical?
When driving through branches or into the garage, a rigid antenna will break. The spring allows the antenna to bend 90 degrees and instantly return to operation. This is a "suspension" for your radio equipment in harsh field conditions.
Impact on mobile communications and Starlink?
The range coincides with the upper GSM/4G channels, so mobile internet may "glitch". But Starlink operates at frequencies above 10 GHz, so satellite communications will remain stable for study or work.
How to properly install the antenna for maximum efficiency?
The ideal place is the center of the metal roof of the car. It serves as a reflector that amplifies the signal. Avoid "radio shadows" from trunks or spare tires to avoid openings for drones.
The main danger during operation?
Never turn on the electronic warfare system without an antenna. All the energy ($50--80W) will return and burn out the module in seconds. Always check the cable's integrity after driving through dense vegetation.
The enemy began shifting the frequencies of their transmitters "up" by 1000-1050 MHz. This antenna is your "high shield". It closes the corridor in which the drone previously felt safe.
What is the advantage of a collinear design?
It "compresses" the signal vertically and expands it along the horizon. This creates a powerful electronic "donut" around your car. The suppression range increases, giving more time to react while the drone is still far away.
